Today I found myself working industriously re-painting some of my old canvases, those half-arsed, half finished paintings. I was removing the evidence of my failures.
Despite the precise; horizontal layer, vertical layer, horizontal layer… system in place I continued to find disturbances in the smooth white gesso. Infuriated I moved on to the next canvas and the next one. My only real aim...
